L- Lively CO2, stored+poured carefully but got a fast 3Cm pale cream head with vigorous rising CO2 from the nucleated glass sustaining it. A clear rich golden colour.
S- Mild grains that's all for me.
T- The hopping is quite prominent and hits the palate rapidly on the first sip. None of the 'hops building slowly into the finish' that often happens. On the second sip I register the solid malt level and my palate gets another heavy brush of hoppy bitterness.
F- Quite prominent hops, more-so than I'd anticipate in a German Märzenbier. The body goes a good way to balance it.
O- Not as anticipated for the style. This is paler than other Marzens I've had, it's also unusual how the hops are very prominent right on the front. A bit more prominent - in the mix - than I'd wish for. Otherwise it's an enjoyable beer and I'll happily finish it. Fans of big hopping will likely enjoy it more than me.
500ml bottle bought from TremblingMadness/York as part of a DIY multi-pick consignment to London. BB: 01/05/2021

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
