Victoria is a flavorful, easy-drinking Vienna-style lager beer, brewed with water, barley malt, non-malted cereals, and hops. It pours an amber color with a consistent, foamy tan head and gives off a pleasant aroma of malt and hops of the highest quality.

Once you get to experience its taste, you'll perceive a smooth, frothy, light-to-medium body, offering flavors of toasted malt, tangy apple butter, and star fruit. The slight malt sweetness is perfectly balanced by its crisp finish, making it a perfect choice to enjoy with grilled meats and vegetables, mild or hard-aged cheeses, nuts, and Mexican foods.

6/28/24 - (Bottle - Home) (Chicago, IL) - Bottle Notes: Purchased refrigerated from Shop and Save on 6/27/24 for $4.87. Refrigerated through opening this evening. 32 oz bottled at 16:12 with a best by December 2024 date, and a code D304C109 which I am not certain of the meaning. 4.0% ABV, 135 Calories, 13.2 G Carbohydrates, 1.0 G Protein, 0.0 G Fat per 12 ounces. Brewed and Bottled by Cerveceria Modelo, Nava Mexico. Imported by Crown Imports, Chicago, Illinois.

Appearance: Crystal clear bronze caramel base, steady persistent carbonation for the first 12 oz plus top off into a slightly over 1 pint pilsner glass. White bubbly head lingers for a hot minute before receding to a small ring around the glass and the snow is almost all melted cover over the base. Looks good. 3.75

Aroma: Faint to barely there malted barley aroma, hard to get anything else after a few attempts. 2.5

Taste: Slightly stronger taste, light and easy barley malt flavor. Sweet like a European malty beer, but no noticeable associated flavor. Lightly salty starting several ounces in, and increases as I work through the rest of the first half. 2.75

Mouthfeel: Light and easy, carbonation seen more than felt, faint pillow/prickly blend. Body watery perceived creamy, perhaps sweetness creating that sensation. East drinking, drinks perhaps a bit over the low 4.0% ABV. Light malt finish with a touch of corn. 3.25

Overall: This is an OK beer, down the middle light offering. Something a non craft drinker would likely enjoy, and a craft beer drinker can enjoy. Would pair with food to perhaps draw out more flavor. 3.0

Light copper and very clear. I had almost no head at all. Maybe my glass wasn't clean?

Smells of light fresh toasted grain with a touch of caramel. Subtle metallic note.

Drinks very very smooth and balanced. A bit of malt sweetness, fresh biscuit. Finishes with a nice subtle bitterness from the hops that otherwise I don't taste. Again a touch of metallic notes.

Very nice and easy drinking beer. Refreshing. Kind of like a mini bock. I was expecting a bigger flavored beer for a Vienna style lager, but I'm happy with it and will have no problem drinking all of them.

This beer looks really great and the color looks similar to a dunkel beer or a dark ale. The smell is rather non existent unless you get very close. I pick up malt notes and a little caramel. The head on this beer was very disappointed and disappeared just seconds after I poured it. Now came drinking it. I took a nice gulp and it was very malty and somewhat sweet just like the smell. I picked up the caramel very little. The beer at the end was a little bitter but not bad at all. The feel of this beer felt flat and barely carbonated. Overall this beer is an just an alright beer and I would rate it about a 3 out of 5. I just wish it was more carbonated!

T: predominantly skunky with a bit of earthiness in the background; mild bitterness at the end;

M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; dry finish;

12 oz. bottle poured into pilsner
(best by July 31, 2026 printed on neck of bottle)

L: bronze or light bronze, SRM 9 (give or take), topped by a thick head of beige foam that hangs around for a bit; no sticking or lacing, very big-bubbled and loose collar and no skin

S: grain, toast, toasted grain, grain sacks; it has hints of sweetness, like a sweet bread or croissant dusted in powdered sugar

T: toasted grain, light malt sweetness; the flavors can come off as watered down at times, and there's a bit of copper penny flavor typical of the style that I don't enjoy, but overall this has all the traditional notes I'd expect ... mainly toasted grain with hints of sweetness

F: light and crisp, refreshing

O: Not bad, would go perfectly with Tex-Mex or Mexican food or barbecue, nothing I'll specifically seek out again but I'm very happy I grabbed a 6-pack; I'm giving a slight boost in rating for the 4% ABV ... I love that I drink 3-4 of these and not have both of my eyeballs in one socket

From a bottle, a light amber pour with high clarity and a thin head with poor retention that leaves a little slippery lacing.
A light bodied lager with a soft malt flavor and mild hops profile.
A good beer to drink with spicy cuisine. It is fairly refreshing, and does not compete with the food flavorwise.

pours amber colored from a bottle; no head or carbonation to speak of. can smell faint molasses. I like the taste - sweetness mostly and just a tinge of skunk. wish it had more carbonation for my palate. Reviewed at Tepache Pittsburgh just a year into the immigration crackdown.

Victoria pours a dark, clean amber color with little head. The aroma is sweet, with rich grain notes, but some skunk. The flavor is sweeter, with dark grain notes and just a hint of skunk. Good feel. Overall, it's not sour, has a nice, rich flavor, a few off notes, but is just enjoyable enough.

Presentation: 24 ounce can poured into a pint glass.

Look: light brown color. Small head that evaporates rather quickly. Minimal lacing.

Smell: primarily smells of roasted caramelized malt. Faint odor of grains.

Taste: flavors of roasted caramelized malt primarily. Faint aftertaste of grains. Minimal hops flavors.

Feel: light mouthfeel and slightly creamy. Moderate carbonation.

Overall: this is one of the better Mexican beers. The malty flavors make it more interesting than a run of the mill lager. It is very similar to Dos Equis Amber.
