This is mildly impressive since it has the same immediate feel and taste as its more alcoholic older brother, negra modelo. Nice caramely malts and some sweetness. Loads of artificial carbonation and hardly any enduring foam. Easy to drink, goes down well. Hardly any hops are detectable in the taste.

There is however a moderate and very persistent flavor of mint in the back. It's not overpowering, but this odd flavor is definitely absent in the normal version.

By "plain beer" standards, nothing special. But by "low alcohol beer" standards, actually not bad at all. It's just good enough that I may consider choosing this over plain water.
