This is the same beer as this brewer's Mesabi Red. It's a heavily hopped red ale. I poured it from a bottle into a clear teardrop beer glass. It's a murky red color with a two finger head. I'd say it's almost heavily hopped. A very solid beer. I think it's the original Fitgers recipe.

Poured a clear, copper color with golden highlights. It had a one-finger, off-white head of foam. It smelled very malty with caramel sweetness. There were some mild citrus notes, too. Sweet caramel malt flavor with a touch of citrusy hop bitterness. It was crisp and smooth.
