The appearance is dark brown with a light head. Its just a lot of yeast taste, with a strong showing from water. Just over all this beer is lack luster and boring. Just don't bother going to Hacienda for the Lake Superior beers its not worth the trip. I'm not sure who's at fault here Lake Superior or Hacienda I'm gonna go with Lake Superior because this should have never made it out the door, have some standards.

Originally reviewed May 6, 2005. On tap at the Hacienda Del Sol - Duluth, MN. Root beer dark amber red pour. Very nice super creamy thick head that hangs on. Aroma is thin sweet malt. Very rich deep malt flavors with strong caramel. A little watery and even. A little fruit and alcoholic. Good hops to balance, making a well rounded brew. Oats and grass in the finish. Light chocolate.
