This is the beer that started it all. On tap at the Bachelor Farmer approximately two years ago. Pretty sure if it's still brewed at all that it doesn't leave Duluth. Have not seen it on a shelf since two summers ago.

Poured from 12 oz. bottle into a Sam Adams "Perfect Pint" glass.
Appearance: Pours a bright and somewhat cloudy golden orange with a lot of rising bubbles. Solid three fingers of white head with decent retention. Leaves a decent amount of lacing around the glass.
Smell: A yeasty and spicy wheat driven aroma. Wheat grains and pale malts with yeast and big hints of bananas, bubble gum, coriander, and a little clove. Hints of biscuit and crackers. Also some citrus lemon zest and orange. A fairly sweet smell. Solid aroma.
Taste: Yeasty and spicy like the smell indicates, with a solid malt backing. Wheat grains and yeast upfront with big notes of bananas, coriander, bubble gum, and cloves. Solid bready malt presence with notes of biscuit and crackers. Notes of lemon zest and orange. This is a pretty sweet tasting beer but it is not cloying or overly syrupy. Nice use of spices.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Creamy and somewhat slick. Goes down very smooth.
Overall: A pretty solid wheat beer. Good spice flavors and malt presence.

Appearance: Cloudy, dark yellow, ok head.
Smell: Nice, banana, spice, hint of lemon.
Taste: Interesting taste. Yeasty and sweet. Reminds me of a yeasty donut with a hint of lemon-vanilla frosting.
Needed another single for the mixed 6 pack and decided to give this a try. It's tasty, with an interesting taste that is sweeter than most hefes that I've had. I liked it, if I see a 6er I'll have to pick up some more.

Amber color with just a slight haze. A large head forms and settles to a thick cap quickly. Just spotty lacing is left down the glass. Does not appear to have much yeast coming out of the bottle.
Pleasant aroma with moderate yeast esters. Banana and a little bubble gum. Wheat really comes out as it is not completely overwhelmed by the yeast.
Good wheat flavor with yeast compliments. Mostly banana with other fruity esters and some cloves sneak into the mix.
Not as well carbonated as I would of liked. As a result of the low carbonation, the beer does have a smooth texture.
A nice hefe that is worth tryihng. Good to have local hefe options.

This beer pours a cloudy orange color with amber hues. The head is a strong two inches in height, and recedes slowly into nice sticky lacing. The aroma is of banana, lemongrass, and a faint hint of clove. Very pleasing aroma, but it is a touch lighter than I like for the style. The taste is maltier than the aroma with a nice banana bread quality. There is also a mild bitterness that takes away from the yeasty tones. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with appropriately high carbonation, and a smooth texture. Overall, this is a nice hefe that I would drink again without complaint.

A medium gold color that is mildly cloudy. Thick cap of white fluffy foam.
Big banana, clove and wheaty nose. Very ripe and sweet banana.
Lots of banana followed by clove and some white pepper with a hint of alcohol. Very tasty.
Mildly prickly carbonation up front with a very dry body. Lighter feel.
A very well done Hefe. This is a nice summer option from a somewhat local brewery. Between this and Schell's hefe, two really good options!
