What a great selection of high quality beer. Shortly after I arrived, the staff approached me and offered help. I described what I was looking for and he spent a good ten minutes helping me make the selections. They were highly rated and just what I was after. High praise for this establishment.

I've been here twice now from out of state. This second time, I actually went out of my way to come by, which I almost never do. Read the review from Dan_K below. There's nothing more I could add to it, except to say if you're here, and you haven't already went through Estes Park, go to Rambo's. It's worth a stop, as well.

Liquormax has undergone many changes in the last 10 years, but none bigger than the addition of a 2nd row of beer coolers. Their singles-selection is so good and diverse that it has now become a destination-type store for craft beer lovers.
Their wine selection is easily tops in Loveland after they expanded about 10 years ago. When they expanded they also added a drive-through lane/window so you can get your stuff quickly if you know exactly what you want.
About 4 months ago they added a 2nd row of beer coolers.(16 doors?) These are 100% stocked with bombers and singles. The prices are fair for the singles, but not mind-blowing. But having the sizeable selection more than makes up for it.
Vibe- Large store, clean and well lit with high ceilings. Wine on the left, liquor in the middle, beer on the right.
Quality- they have really good stuff here. They have a good mix of normal and rare stuff for wine, liquor, and beer.
Service- the cashiers have all been exceedingly friendly and efficient. You can find really great beer and wine experts if you ask around, and one of them happens to be in. They do wine tastings on saturdays that are FREE and then they put those wines on sale. It might be hard to find help unless you ask for it, but otherwise good all around.
Selection- it really is tops. They had Boulevard singles, Victory, Lord Hobo, all the local stuff, bombers from all over the state, a well thought-out international import selection. You just need to go check it out. They pretty much stock anything they can get their hands on. They do a good job of carrying the really small breweries that are close by as well, featuring Grimm Bros, Verboten, Loveland Ale works, Black Bottle, etc.
This place is constantly improving and I feel is now worth seeking out if you are in the area. Just be warned, you may end up spending the better part of an hour looking at everything they have.

I stopped by while in the area on business.
The place is big but most of the stock is wine and spirits. The beer selection is fairly limited in numbers but the quality is very good. And most of their stock is refrigerated too. They had several sours and Belgian styles from Russian River (no Pliny though).
I can't really comment on the service. I didn't ask for any help and no one offered it. But they seemed nice enough.
I don't know the area well but Liquor Max seems worth a visit (especially for someone from the east coast looking for something to take home).

Liquor Max was close to our hotel, so I happily popped in for a visit.
It's really a mixed bag here. The selection is both great, and crappy at the same time. The number of options for beer is low. However, some of the items available are great. I'm a sucker for vintage beers, and they had 08 Stone IRS, 07 Alaskan Smoked Porter and 08 Alaskan Barleywine available (and marked as 'vintage' buys). There were a couple other old (06/07) bottles that didn't move my needle, but maybe they would move yours.
There is a lot of local beer (a plus), but not much else outside of deshutes, stone and lost abbey and a few Belgian offerings.
For me, the vintage goodies made my day. If I was close, I'd visit all the time to see what was brought out; however, you'll pay for those older bottles.

On my way back from a Ft. Collins tour of breweries I hit this place. I've heard great things from other BAers, so I didn't think I'd be let down. But I was.
Yup, sure, this place is great for Loveland and the Fort, but coming from Denver, this isn't a worthy stop. Perhaps if they had some rare beers or great prices, but I saw neither.
Big warehouse type layout. I think they had about 2 doors of "malt-ternatives" like Jooce (?) and such, and a separate cooler section of BMC. The Micros were sloppily placed and some were just empty. Warm section was not a single shelving unit, but small islands with some nice Fantomes. Some older bottles of Rochefort and Alaskan Smoked Porter were on sale. All in all, a nice selection, but nothing worth the trip if you live out of town.
Service was non-existent; I didn't ask for help (or bought anything) and non was offered. Average in my book.

Had a fairly nice & organized layout
All beers were fresh
Service was super helpful and friendly. The cashier liked talking beer & the whole staff seemed to help with quest to score some green chille. They picked a great local place that scratched that itch for me!
Selection was fairly extensive, some vintage offerings, multiple Russian River Sours, other sought after big beers & many old favorites from Alaskan & Deschutes. They had a decent mix sixer as well. Could've easily dropped $200 in their if I had room in my baggage
Prices were fairly reasonable

Stopped on the way to Fort Collins, fairly accessible despite being in Loveland. Coming from LA I was happy with every store I went to in CO but this place was awesome. I expected a large store but wow this place is massive. Nearly everything was refrigerated with a few limited releases on small shelves across from them. I've honestly never seen so many beer fridges in one place. There were several employees walking around the store and as a young BA I'm pretty used to being given modest recommendations so I was offered Aventinus, great beer but one of the few things that I can get in LA, so I explained this to him and he was happy to help me find other things. I had grabbed a bottle of Maharaja but wanted another so he grabbed it for me. They also loaded my stuff into boxes for me at checkout and were very helpful there. Amazing selection, they had most of what I wanted and I was told they have the other things I wanted sometimes. About 3-5 different RR sours as well as Damnation and Redemption were available and I even found a few things I wasn't expecting: Abyss, World Wide Stout and, get this, 2007 vintage 120 minute! The 120min was pricey, obviously, but everything else was very reasonable including discounts on all the single bottles I purchased. I will definitely find a way to make it here next time I am in CO, highly recommended.

This might have been the best beer store in Colorado I went to as far as service. I looked through the selection and was asked if I needed pointers. I also was told I could get XXX Warlock Stout, which I believe was bottled in 2007 and I didn't see anywhere else. When I mentioned I was from Wisconsin and had some micros in the car from the Great Lakes Region, naturally he inquired about a trade. To my surprise, in part for a New Glarus gift box he traded me a 2007 Abyss.... I didn't see that and may have missed it but wow. People working there really know their beer and considering Loveland is not downtown Denver, it is also very accessible.

So, I've been shopping here for a few years now. They usually have a great selection, and some solid beers. They also have a few good deals.
But... I have seen it go downhill somewhat over the last few years. For one, they got rid of the blog and list they kept online. it's just gone. I also think they nixed a cooler and moved a bunch of malternative crap into it. And they have had some of the same 08 beers, on sale, for ever. I swear 08 Avec Les Bons Voeux has been available, at a discount, for well over a year.
Whatever, they have a good supply of Pliny The Elder, so I shouldn't complain.

Next to Wilbur's in the Fort, this is my place to go and take twenty minutes to find the perfect beer. Great selection, lots of hard-to-find imports to discover that you won't find in just any ol' booze shack. There's only one beer guy that I met who works there, big Irish mutha, the rest work with the wine and apparently have never drank a beer in their life.
Right off I-25, this is the other place you need to check out if you're on the front range. Got my World Wide Stout and a 2007 Rogue RIS there. I'm tellin you, I love this place!

Ordered a few hard to find brews and was pleased with my experience. The stores website is kept up to date with new arrivals. The IPA's "Pliny" are listed with the freshness date wich is great. The responce time to my order was slow it took about a week to get a response and a little bit more to ship. Though they did hold my bottles when I first sent my email, which was great since they sold out fast of that particular beer. The shipping was quality and packed well, the cost of shipping was not too much as well. The price of their brews are great also not to much even for the hard to find brews. Will order threw the store again.

I have made more then my fair share of purchases from Nick and I have always been impressed to say the least. Everything is simply top notch and their customer service cannot be beat. Great selections of one offs, seasonals, and an ever rotating schedule of some of the biggest and most popular brews there are out there. I have always been impressed with how he has kept his prices down and the shipping is always quick and not over charged. Overall a top rated establishment for sure and one of the easiest I have ever come across. If you need something, I am sure they will be able to help you out!

I feel extremely fortunate to have Liquor Max just down the street. I have enjoyed their selections of off the wall beers that I have not found anywhere else. I have found beers there that I have only heard about on Ba. I have spoken to many friends that now drive the few extra miles just to go to this store. I also like going in on the weekends and sampling their wine of the week. I am not a big wine drinker, but Liquor Max takes the time to educate and covers their bases, it is a great experience every time. Plus they are a good ally to have when I start trading brews!
Cheers!!!

Liquor Max is a great place to go for those more unusual and obscure beers. Wilbur's is known in the area for having just about everything but LM is where I go when I want something unusual. They often have things that Wilbur's never gets and their prices are usually better too. I also like how you get a discount for buying 6 items or more.
It should also be noted that their beer guy, Nick, is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help or make suggestions. You can tell he knows his stuff and cares enough to educate others.

I love the choices when it comes to beer here. I am not greatly knowlegeable of all of the great beer available but Liquor Max carries a good number so I can educate myself and have fun doing so as well. Who would have thought loveland with not much for a beer reputation would have such a resourse. Centraly located in Loveland off of HWY 34 they are easy to find and have great hours so you can drop in almost any time and find them open. The staff is very helpfull and in most cases can help you find what you are looking for.

This was my first experience ordering beer as I live in NJ and was looking for some brews I can not get locally. I picked up some Pliny the Elder, Blind Big, Left Hand Warrior IPA, and Oskar Blues Ten Fidy. The service was exceptional. My order was placed the 24th, on the 25th it was sent out, and then I received it on the 29th. That is just awesome and something I wasn't expecting over a Thanksgiving holiday. The shipping was very reasonalble as well. There is no doubt I will continue to order from them in the future. If you are looking for some beer you can not get locally then do not hesitate as the customer service is great.

I visit this store somewhat frequently, as it is on my way home from work. (Convenient, huh?) I'm always impressed with the selection of bottles, and the selection continues to get better and better every week. There are a few beers that I've found here that I've been unable to find at other stores in the area. On occasion, aged beers make an appearance too, most recently the stone anniversaries as far back as the 8th, bigfoot barleywine verticals back to 05, and now old guardian verticals back to 05 as well. The 6-pack selection, however, leaves something to be desired in my mind. However, certain staff members at this place really know their stuff, and if you're looking for advice, they can provide unparalleled advice.

I recently placed an order for a few beers that are impossible to find in NJ. Overall I was very pleased with the experience. I placed my order on a friday night and was contacted by the manager the next day with a full price. The package was sent out the very next buissnes day and was at my front step within 4 days. The actual prices of the beer were very reasonable. There was a packaging cost which was very reasonable. They didnt charge me a cent over what fed ex charged them to deliver the package. I definatly plan on doing buisness with this store in the future.

A great selection of west coast craft and obscure imports. Updated inventory online with pricing! What more could you ask for? I placed an order and was quickly contacted by Nick the same day. He fielded beer questions and was a nice guy.
The shipping was reasonable, and the rates are also listed on their site. Bottles arrived safe and sound, no complaints!

Quality: This is a very nice place, lots of variety and a great selection. Lots of different things, and a nice, clean store.
Service: I've yet to speak with anybody that was incredibly knowledgeable, but I did talk with people that said, oh yeah, take this over this, I liked it more kinda thing. Not impressive, but not bad.
Selection: Great selection of lots of different beers, American, German, but most notably Belgian. The Belgian selection is fantastic.
Value: Pretty reasonably priced, nothing exceptionally priced. All around great beer store!
