Lots of parking here with either an entrance on Wabasha or Plato.
Once inside, its big and spacious, very tall ceilings give way to a decievingly small dining area actually. Bar area is huge, lots of room and lots of tables. Tons of elbow room along a zigzag shaped bar. Very little decor. Seemingly more like a hall then a restuarant, speaking of, it does offer a big hall, meeting, reception, party area and stage for certain events and rentals. Patio right in front surrounded by the parking lots and sidewalks.
Service was prompt and friendly with some menu recommendations, staff wear matching shirts so they're easy to pick out of the crowd.
Food is damn good, fresh and well made, here I was thinking it was gonna be subpar, but it was quite good. Had a basic grilled chicken sandwich, but it comes with a side of this mild red pepper dressing that was awesome and was just right to give the sandwich that extra goodness of yum. Menu is pretty big, various appetizers, sandwiches and only a couple burgers, some pasta, the dinner menu is decent. Price wise its a bit much depending. Everything seems to be between $7 and $9 with some other spendy fish and steak entrees. Salads around $8, but I saw one go by to a different table and it was big, but still, its just a salad. All other portions are fair if not stardard and on the bigger size.
Beer wise its just another midwest sports bar line-up, although there was On-tap, Foster's, Pilsner Urquell, and Sam Adams, which is more then I can say for most other chain restuarants. Otherwise the macros are well covered both tap and bottled, with the usual local coverage taking a couple spots, James Page, Summit, Leinie's, and Premium. Bottled selection is a bit bigger then whats on tap, with a few more imports and macros to choose from. Nothing really catching my eye as far as the beer, which I'm use to by now. Another fine establishment with fine food and service but lacking in the beer department.
