This was another beer that I picked up at Joe Canal's in Woodbridge recently, as i hadn't had anything from Erie in quite some time. Big roadgeek here, which added to this beer's appeal, but there wasn't much of anything else notable about this besides the name. Sure, this was light, and sure, there wasn't much of any alcohol to be detected here but in the end, this was only a few steps above mass-market beers in the same category.
Of course, this had a golden hue to it that was slightly translucent and full of bubbles - both in the voluminous head and in the liquid as the streams held their own for a while. Only a small collar stuck around near the top of my pint glass as the thick lacing was concentrated along the bottom half. Usual suspects in the nose with lots of rice, some corn, and a hint of barley as the taste was crisp and refreshing, with just a bit of potato chip bite in the back to make things interesting.
Nothing was written on the bottom of the can but I doubt that this would be any better on tap. I knew what to expect with this and it hit the spot for a day of cleaning out the stash and not getting wasted in the process. Worth a go for those seeking a lawnmower beer that's not mass-market!
