Erie Oak Barrel Aged Heritage Alt
Pours a murky brown, off white head on the pint. Aromas of sweet malts and bourbon are predominant. In the flavor, lots of vanilla, residual sugar sweetness, dark fruits and roasted malts peeking through. Somewhat oxidized and almost off. The barrel comes through pretty well but takes the center stage, with spicy alcohol and lots of vanilla and sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with little to low carbonation. Overall, interesting beer glad I had the chance to try, but all over the place with the flavors.
