On tap, at the source. Had a dark, hearty color to it, with an odor of alcohol and roasted nuts. Not much carbonaton or head to speak of. No lace around the glass. This beer was kind of a letdown, with minimal flavors of wheat, nuts and a rather powerful alcohol character. Finished flat and kind of stale. Nothing special here, but nonetheless worthy of a try.

Semi-clear dark chestnut forms a small off-beige head with minimal retention or lacing. Aroma is very weak and hardly appreciable. Taste predominated by poorly fermented lager alcohols, firm but not over-ripe dark fruits and amber malts, strong herbal hops completely out of proportion to the malts and very unrepresentative of the style. Nutty/woody/fusel finish with harshly astringent mouthfeel. Medium-dense body.
A solid loser of a beer.
