Served in a pint glass, this ale looks really attracitve with a deep sunset orange tone. Frothy white heads tops things off and although it dissipates with the first few sips, sticky patches of lacing is left behind on the glass. Potent aroma of piney hop oils along with some bitter citrous tones. Flavor is prickly hops all the way through. The pine really sticks out, but it is backed by plenty of crisp citrous. Strong malts add subtle caramel sweetness to the flavor and fatten up the mouthfeel. Finishes prickly and a little dry, leaving some orange peel taste on your tongue. Although the alcohol is not tasted, some warming is perceived. A fine example of an American IPA.
