Reviewed from notes (July 18th, 2014). This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a dark brown color with some light tinges of purple to even a light black contour. The head was about a finger’s worth of light foaminess that once it died there was some light stringy lacing about it. The smell had some light blackberry notes that lead to a decent roasty sort of chocolate to coffee malt. The taste was the blackberry combining with the roasty chocolate to coffee-ness. On the palate, this one sat fairly light and still carried a fairly decent sessionability about it. Overall, decent porter to take the blackberry idea and add it to it.
