This beer is Big Buck's alternative to Negro Modelo, a dark brown lager with a thin head. Nose is faint, earthy, maybe dark coffee grounds.
Taste is a bit grainy, not unclean but dirty (as in, tastes like dirt). Dark roast, sweet malts, earthy flavors. Faint caramel flavors with kind of an astringent quality.
Medium mouthfeel, body is fine but flavors are a miss. Almost rated this one as a "poor" but nothing truly offensive here. A seasonal offering, don't know about the rotation.
