L- Darker than golden, it's a rich clear amber. Pours with a 2mm white head, holds well.
S- Mild, I just get grains.
T- Wohhh-ok! That was a surprise, it's surprisingly bright and hoppy. It goes through some brief toasty grain and then there is a notably hefty hoppy-dry 'lick' across my palate and tongue. I even contemplate if the hopping is leaving a 'dry zing' on my lips.
F- The hop levels are the stand out feature here; make that a 'surprise feature' too if like me you pre-judged it on it's trad+simple bottle/lable and expected a 'minor variant on a lager'.
O- It's trad, and pretty pared back character-wise except for the stand out levels of hops. There is absolutely zero out of place here. This could be an ideal beer for drinking on a hot Bavarian summers day.
500ml bottle. £3.38 from Real Ale, Formosa Street, London W9 BB: 24/03/2021.

From the Kalea Bier Advents Kalender. From the bottle, it pours a clear amber with a modest head. A touch of malt in the nose and mouth. Some bitterness as well and very drinkable. Yum!
