This is a first for me: A brewery that brews 4 different PILS!!! Glückauf is definatley something spezial in this reich but I couldnt wait to see the differences. Two of them I had trouble distinguishing the differences, both were fantastic regardless of there very subtle differences. One is a Kräusen Pils and the other was average (as in better than the big guys but not the best).
Then I moved on to the Premium Pils. Pours up a pillowy med to large bubbled head. The Schaumkrone is very rocky and creamy and leaves a tone of lace. Its brilliantly clear and is straw yellow in color. The aroma is wonderful and features a mild soft malt base with a huge hit of slightly minty earthy hops. The taste begins slightly sweet with smoothe mild bitterness. It finishes pretty dry and has a lingering bitterness. A very well done job of balancing earthy hops against the malt. Very well done.
Zum Wohl!!!
