Copenhagen 20/12 2015. 33 cl bottle from Netto. Picture of a little boy in German folky dress and in a quite weird mix of colors handling some Eibauer Porter on the label.
Pours a surprisingly light reddish brown with a white head. Stable. Settles as a flimsy thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Strong aroma of vegetables, sour cabbage and something sweet and fermented. Unpleasant.
Rather strong carbonation and sticky palate. Fizzy and lively. Not what I would expect in a English Porter.
Flavor is overwhelmingly sweet and sugary. Reminds me of the Danish low alcohol malt beers which is popular around Christmas. Some vegetables and cough drops as well.
This has nothing to do with a porter - and is way too sweet and cloying to work for me. I feel immensely sticky after consuming this malty mess.
