Copenhagen 24/1 2015. 50 cl can from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Ears of wheat on the can to remind me that I am about to engage in a hazy wheaty experience.
Pours hazy yellow with a big white head. Stable. Settles as a thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma of sour fruit with only a little sweetness. A little pepper peeking. Citrus and tart orange.
Medium strong carbonation and a watery palate. Lively and tingling texture.
Flavor has more nuances than the smell. Sweet fruit like banana and peach balanced by citrus sourness. A little pepper-like spiciness. Aftertaste is tart fruit.
Nicely balanced Weiss beer which is not too lemonadelike.

Pours an effervescent & slightly hazed honey color & one finger of cream-colored head. Head rapidly vanishes, zero head retention & lacing
S: Some breadyness, faint clove notes, faint banana peel late, a little yeasty
T: Bready, some band-aid, not much, & dryness up front. Some pear notes, bready sweetness, dryness & juicy fruit, & a hint of lemon as this beer warms up. Finishes dry with a little green banana, faint juicy fruit & a little pineapple
MF: Medium/light body, slight carbonation
Not bad, a little under carbonated. Not one I'd buy again

500ml can, day 8 of the Costco Canada 2014 Beer Advent calendar.
This beer pours a murky, yet bright medium apricot amber hue, with two fingers of puffy, densely foamy, and faintly bubbly eggshell white head, which leaves some random coral reef profile lace around the glass as it genially subsides - 'hell' means 'bright', and this is certainly hellabright!
It smells of semi-sweet grainy wheat malt, banana peel, musty yeast, a weak earthy spiciness, and some tame leafy, weedy noble hops. The taste is again replete with somewhat sugary wheat cereal, low-fat banana pudding cups, edgy yeast, and a bitterness that is more spiced than hoppy.
The carbonation is softly rendered as a gentle frothiness, the body an adequate medium weight, and perhaps a tad clammy in its otherwise straight-up smoothness. It finishes off-dry, the wheatiness still showin' 'em who's da boss, while the other conscripted players run out their iron-clad contracts.
A pleasant enough version of the style, the flavours all falling into their correct places. Nothing complicated, other than how they get this offering to be so shiny - its appearance does actually have an effect on the overall impression, sort of a blonde bombshell, logic-deadening thing.
