Upper Lusatian brewing tradition with a subtle difference. A light bock beer with a mildly hearty and full-bodied flavor. A unique specialty.

Copenhagen 4/5 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. A small monk with a staff on the label.
Pours clear yellow with a small white head. A bit bubbly. Disappears completely after half a minute. No lacing.
Aroma is malty sweet and quite grainy. Sweet pale malts, bread and a bit of alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation and watery palate. Lively texture.
Flavor is quite sweet. Followed by a medium strong bitterness which dominates the aftertaste. Some slightly metallic notes of alcohol.
Not very exciting - but a no nonsense thirst quencher with a healthy alcohol content.
