330 ml bottle served cold into a KALEA tasting glass. Beer #23 of the KALEA Beer Advent Calendar. Thanks Kevin and Nicole. Not certain if this is classified right or whether it's a hefe. Will request changes if need be. Best before the end of July 2020.
Appearance - Mostly clear, but slightly hazy rich golden brew. A finger plus of head that lasts a long time. Plenty of carbonation.
Smell - Some grainy notes, bits of wheat and a general malty sweetness, but not really any banana and certainly no clove.
Taste - Some wheaty notes, and general fruity sweetness although only somewhat banana and again not clove for spiciness. A Kellerbier it remains. Good depth of flavour with some light earthiness.
Mouthfeel - Light on it's feet, good carbonation but not fizzy and a full rich finish.
Overall - One of the best beers in the taster's pack. A very, very solid kellerbier. WOuld enjoy frequently if available.
