Brauerei an der Thomaskirche, Ristorante, Pizzeria, Eis Cafe.
This brewpub restaurant is located in the plaza next to the St. Thomas Church. A bit surprising to find a an Italian restaurant brewpub in Germany.
The interior is large with a large bar in the center, with lots of curves and wood. The weather was nice, however, so I sat outside in the plaza. There are fountains nearby, which were annoyingly loud.
The service was really slow, but I did manage to get an order of spaghetti bolonaise and a few beers. The food was pretty good. The prices were reasonable for a city the size of Leipzig. Beers were available in 0.3L, 0.5L, 1.0L, and 1.5L. Prices were €3.30 and €3.50 for 0.5L.
There were 3 beers available: Pils, Schwarzbier, and the seasonal, which was a Hefeweizen during my visit. I tried the Pils and Schwarzbier, which were good, but the Schwarzbier somewhat better than the Pils.
Overall, a decent brewpub, not too far a walk from the central train station.
