Bottle into Valentins Weissbier hefeweizen mini glass in Leipzig, Germany. Reviewed live.

A: Four finger head of no cream, bad thickness, and poor retention. Light yellow colour, hazy and cloudy. A bit light tinged for a hefeweizen.

Sm: Stale ester scent, not complex (actually quite simple for a Hefeweizen) and light. Lightly citrusy, but perhaps artificial.

T: Lemony faux esters on the climax, backed by a pathetic wheat body. A bit watery. The finish is a bit bad. Simple, barely balanced, and largely crap.

Mf: Smooth and wet, complementary of the body's flavours as well as the style. Refreshing and light.

Dr: Dirt cheap and actually pretty decent. The ABV is normal. A good drinking beer, and an inexpensive one.

Pours pale yellow with slightly off-white head that slowly fades, nice patchy lacing. Aroma is banana, barely sourish clove.

Taste is slightly sourish, herbal and even sharp spicyness, yeast and fruity banana, towards the end there is what seems like a slight feel of alcohol. Long lasting herbal citrus aftertaste. Mouthfeel is light with good prickly carbonation.

Overall, not a bad Hefeweizen - it is rather well-made and refreshing, although not too interesting either.
