On tap in an oversized shot glass as part of a flight at the Penfield Pour House in Penfield, NY.

Pours a light amber red, not hazy at all, pretty clear. Not much head to speak of, but decent lacing down the glass.

Mostly bitter, slighty sweet taste to this one. Aroma is decent- toasty malt, slight pine. Finishes clean and crisp, begging for another sip. Very drinkable, could be a great session beer.

Medium-thin mouthfeel, slight toasty bitterness lingers on the palate at the end of each sip.

A good Irish ale here, not bad.

McArdle's Irish Ale is a clear, red ale with a thin, dense off white film of a head that leaves nice lacing on the glass. It has a sweet malty aroma with a minty note. It's medium-light bodied; smooth and soft with a pretty clean finish. It tastes slightly sweet and pretzely. It's pretty malty at first, then the herbal bitterness creeps in and takes over at the finish and provides the aftertaste. It's very easy drinking and I think it's only available right around the corner from my house, which is cool.

An irish ale for this St Paddy's. Bitter offset by strong carbonation, so mouthfeel is aggressive. Refreshing and little in the way of head which is typical at this brewery. Definite session beer. Soft drink replacement. Moderation in the above would make it more popular, but hey its a one-time shot.
