A new IPA has come to town. Its name is Fat Bottom from Custom BrewCrafters. Poured on cask at the Old Toad, I was blown away by this fantastic offering.
A dark copper colour with a thick frothy head which releases the most wonderful aromas of grass, nuts, fruits and malts.
The taste was incredible. A nice nutty feel was accented by a grassiness and a fruitiness. I would like to say plums.
A hoppy bitterness sealed the deal to make this one of the best IPAs I have ever had on cask or any other style.
A mild graininess to the mouthfeel, but that actually made the experience even better.
I could drink this all day long. Could Fat Bottom be the perfect IPA?
