The beer pours a beautiful golden color with a creamy offwhite head that slowly fades to lacing. The aroma is decent. It has a malty aroma that boasts of pale and Carapils malts. It's dry and bitter with a grainy straw feel. The taste is decent as well. It has a grainy pale malt flavor that's easy drinking, but a bit watery in the finish. The hop character is very good with this one. The mouthfeel is fine. It is a low/medium bodied beer with good carbonation. This is a decent IPA. I'm not in love with the grainy taste or lack of body in the finish. It could use more dextrinous malts.

Amber body with an eggshell coloured head that laced well. Pretty perfect appearance for the style. Resiny, piney hop aroma with a little bit of malt creeping in. Fairly moderate hop flavour in the brew, in spite of the aroma, and this allowed the malt to come through a bit more. Medium bodied and moderate to light carbonation.

On-tap at Alternative Brews. Understated hop bitterness, this is more of a pale. Creamy head and creamy mouthfeel. Light peachy colour, some drops of lacing on glass. No noticeable aroma. Has characteristics of nitro on tap, so may have to try it another day, and maybe another place.

On tap at Alternative Brews.
Poured a gold, somewhat hazy beer with no head. Once again it could be because of the cleaning of the bar glasses. Aroma had some hops and a little malt. The taste was a little malt with a little bit of hops. There was some light carbonation.
Overall there there was not much going on with this beer. I had some better Custom Brewcrafter beer in the past

One of the best IPA's I have ever had It has the a wonderful amber colour and a fantastic lasting head. There is just the right amount of hops and malt where it was balanced perfectly. This is, as far as I'm concerned he perfect summer brew. Not too heavy and not to light. It has a very smooth consistancy that just makes you wan to drink more. The taste has a nice bitterness to it, but not overpowering in any way. I can't say enough aout it.

Another highly quaffable brew. Poured a copper color with a little tint of muddy brown with a fairly nice white head. Smell had a kinda raw hops flavor almost as if you were smelling the inside of a bag of hop pellets. This however was not the case with the taste. It was spicy and hoppy up front and then morphed into a malty, sweet cookie dough like flavor in the finish providing a great encore. Custom brewcrafters might not make the most outrageous or bold beers, but they have consistently good brews at every corner.

OMG. This is absolutely one of my favorites of CB's. When they put this on at the Flour City Brewfest, it was all over. Several layers of brain cells were sacrificed to these hop gods. Jason and Jeff have out done themselves again. Can't wait until that comes around again. Yum yum.

Oh yeah. This was quite popular this past summer at our local brewfest. We made our obligatory rounds but found ourselves back at the CB booth until the keg was dry! It's got all the great IPA characteristics, you know the ones.
