Fresh at Alternative Brews. A decent scotch, apparently revives every year. Bit of alcohol and caramel in the aroma. A generous white head with bubbles. Creamy, tasty, full mouthfeel and a little amount of lacing. Missed the boys in the kilts bagpiping it in here.

My pint was a lovely medium amber color with good clarity (the clarity is somewhat surprising in a wee heavy). A pretty impressive head. Aroma is quite malty with brown sugar notes.

Very well rounded mouthfeel. Sugary taste; a little like maple syrup.

This beer finishes a wee tad bitter. The hops are only apparent in the finish.

This was very carbonated for a nitro cask-pulled beer.

Quite an enjoyable beer, but last year's was even better and I find myself missing it when drinking this one. Here's hoping next year's will be better still.
