On tap sample at CB Craft Brewers in Honeoye Falls, NY.
Pours a clear dark brown, with a half inch head, and not much lacing.
Aromas include caramel, wheat, and some nuts.
The taste is pretty similar, very nutty malt flavors here in this weizenbock. They described it as a weizenbock at the brewery, it's not a pale wheat ale as they describe here on the site. Some caramel, toasted bread, etc. Not much wheat flavor I can pick out. No real hop flavor.
Medium bodied, slightly thin for the style. Very drinkable, creamy mouthfeel.
I usually don't care for the beers CB's make for Buffalo Tap Room, but this is one is actually not too bad.
