Poured into a 1/2 liter stein a honey tinged golden with a large fluffy white crown that left multiple rings of broken lace as settled very slowly.Big leafy somewhat grassy hops in the nose no doubt the hoppiest maibock I have come across,crushed pilsner malt and mild alcohol induced sweetness round it out.A healthy dose of grassy/herbal hops greet you up front on the palate, some light toastiness and caramel mixed with sweetsh alcohol in the finish.This is unlike any beer of the style that I have had,on one end I love the huge hop flavors but on the other end I kinda miss some warming rich sweetness that lacks a little,Iam glad I tried it and I really miss Custom Brewcrafter's offerings.

Big head and lacing to be proud of; slightly hazed golden color. Smells of a German hop farm in late August. Smoothness goes wide with an oily hop slickness. Oh brother, the hops are magnificent here, with massive oily, herbal grassy flavors from start to end. Malt holds up as best as it can with an undercurrent of dried hay and lightly toasted bread. Ghostlike sulphur, clean alcohol and a pleasant lingering hop bitterness waiting in the finish. This beer is where Blonde Doppelbocks and hoppy Imperial Pilsners shake hands. Seriously great beer.

This beer is a slightly hazy golden colored liquid with a clean, white head that sits a few centimeters above the 'beer'line. It's a powerful brew, labeled as 8.5% ABV, but the alcohol is masked in the aroma, which is a mix of pale malt and flowery hops. Not a lot of complexity in the beer, which is one of its chief drawbacks. It is clean, however, and quite sharp...the hops stand out from the first sip. Bitterness is slightly heavier than the malt character. The bottle says 'blonde doppelbock', although the malt flavors never really get their chance to shine, so I have to question this moniker. The body is quite nice, though...full, moderate carbonation, and rewarding. Bitter finish. All in all, this is worth trying, and having from time to time, but it's not an especially noteworthy beer.

Just put on tap at Cole's by the owner Mike. CB has been stepping it up for an extreme series, and this is the latest installment, an imperial weizen. It is boozy and it is also fruity. Got much apple juice and it is aggressively carbonated, the latter being the trademark of CB beers I have experienced over time. Long lasting white head on cloudy yellow body.
