The beer after disemboguing the 12-ounce brown bottle sets in the glass a bemused reddish-orange with a personable head that is creamy in texture and a toothsome light tan in color as it ever so slowly erodes the lace forms a thick blanket to cover the glass. Nose sweet with malt, crisp and clean with an ever so light hint of hops, start is lightly sweet and nicely malted, top is light to moderate in feel. Finish has a spicy hop bite and moderate acidity, dry as a desert bone aftertaste, a nice beer.

Red color, medium head. Aroma is malty and sweet. A light bodied red ale. Malts are nutty and slightly sweet. Hops are slighly spicy. A lightly malty, slightly hoppy ale. Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is kind of weak and watery. Aftertaste is bitter. Not a very good effort.

Clear roasted amber color, head was tan, bubbly, fizzy. Nice rich roasted malty smell. Noticable cascade hop aromas. Tastes are very balanced and right in line for the style, with a strong hop bite toward the end. Sweet malty tastes start, then crisp cascade finish. Tastes are fine, but thin, overly carbonated makes it a little tough to drink. Serious hop/carbonation burps, the tastes are there, just need smooth out the carbonation and add some body.

This red is not one of the best. Highly hopped ad too much carbonation do not balance out the malts well at all. The batch I tried may have been old, a bready aftertaste was quite disturbing. I'll have to give this one another look.
