BUTTE CREEK ORGANIC PALE ALE 8/28/16
Another from the latest beer club shipment. We do not get this west coast brewery's products in my state.
Poured from the 12 oz. bottle into a Phillips of Baltimore German Pilsner
a: Nearly clear amber with an inch and a half white head which receded to thick surface foam and slight lacing.
s: Bread.
t: Follows the nose along with a moderate bitterness. Dry and bitter finish mellows out later.
m: Medium, good body and carbonation tingle.
o: At first not particularly appealing for its higher bitterness with only the bready malt flavor. The malt becomes dominant and the bitterness recedes to make this a tasty pale ale. First organic brew I have not disliked.

Cloudy golden, slight amber color with frothy white head. Nose of sweet malt, grains and faint hops. Tastes of light caramel, some faint malt sweetness and a very faint, just barely there, hop presence. Very thin body. Pretty underwhelming Pale Ale.

Slightly cloudy golden pour with a snow white head. Very light grainy aroma. Taste has an herbal hop flavor backed by earthy and grass flavors. Can also taste a hint of bread. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Finishes with a light earthy and slightly bitter flavor.
