33cl bottled poured into standard pint sleeve
Received in trade with Erzengel, cheers mate!
BBE 18 Dec 2012
A- Amber body with excellent clarity. 2 finger head reduces very quickly to a thin crown. No lacing to speak of really.
S- Toffee sweet malts, a hint of chocolate malt and some biscuitiness in there too.
T- Malt dominant. Sweeter toffeish malts up front with some toasted malts coming through in the lager clean crisp finish. Maybe not true to the stereotypical drier hoppier/peppery mai/heller bocks.
M- Moderate/high carbonation, medium body.
D- The maltier end of the spectrum of maibocks and a really nice example of a good malt profile. Remains refreshing with a good mouthfeel while still giving that strong malt hit. Shame about the appearance!
