A: Big roasted notes that open to a breadiness with pinot noir grapes in the background.
A: Amber color, slight haze, with a thick foamy head that dissipates to a ring around the glass.
T: Upfront rich malt roast and breadiness. This beer gives way to lots of vinous character and a big pinot noir grapey finish.
M: Light bodied with moderate carbonation. The grapes provide a very light acidity.
O: Not sure what I was going to get when I ordered this. one However, I love Death and Taxes and Reality Czech – so to have both at once with Pinot grapes added as a bonus – why not? The verdict, better than expected. The base beers are very different, but provide a great bed of malts for the grapes to rest on. The aroma, flavor, and mouthfeel all came together quite well and yielded a complex and pretty tasty beer.

Pretty awful metallic and compost pile funk. Bretty in a way that's not enjoyable at all.

Sadly, there was no "American Wild Lager" category for me to put this under.
