not much more i could ask for from an amber ale i dont reckon! this is about as good as it gets, a red pale ale made with manuka, which is apparently a tea-like blossom from australia, very cool. its got a light brick red color to it, a little haze, and a lot of fluffy white head. it smells like green tea with honey, but has some hops to it too, citrusy and bright, but not bitter at all. it smells light for its color, there isnt a whole lot of malt in the aroma, even though the beer looks like a caramely amber. its so clean and new, almost breathable. the flavor has a fresh cut almost eucalyptus aspect about it, highly vibrant, medicinal, and fresh, with soft wood and vanilla behind it. juicy from the hops, fresh meyer lemon, lemon verbena, tea, chlorophyll, a little reddish malt, drier though, and some body from it too. the bitterness is real mellow, but the flavor of this beer is so crisp and drinkable and fresh, almost a lager aspect to it, just really interesting and drinkable ale in a style i dont often get inspired by. moonlight is just so good. never had a beer from these guys that didnt move me, and this one is a real peach! on tap in norcal. cash money!
