Handsome bright yellow brew with long-lasting foam in the Maredsous goblet. This is quite rich tasting and malty as well as lively on the tongue. Inviting aroma of grain and a whiff of smoke. The smoke is quite restrained and isn't the first thing you think of, taking the first sip. It's just a luscious flavor. It is also slightly sweet with the earthy aromatics in the nose and a mildly bitter aftertaste.
This is so much better than most smoked beers I've had, and rich in flavor. I wouldn't call it a light brew with the alcohol content, but it's highly drinkable. Among the best beers I've tasted so far in 2024. From the 16 oz can purchased at Wild Roots Market in Felton. Dated 02/23/24.

16 oz. can. Clear golden. Huge white head. Smells of light smoke and meat, some slightly sweet malt, a little bit of charred oak. Tastes of toasted malt, light smoke, strong toasted bread, bitter smoked wood finish, even some spicy hops. Medium body. Light enough smoke that all aspects of the beer come through. Very nice.

Thanks for the assist, Chris!
A clear light yellow with a dense, white head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose is lightly smoky and soft, subtle and with purpose. Softly doughy with a light honeyed malt character. A little earth. The palate opens clean, bitter, lightly smoky with some honey, mild smoke, earth, a firm but mild earthy hop character. Drying, clean, lightly smoky, lightly sweet and lightly honeyed. Truly delightful.

Appearance - The beer poured a golden color with big white bubbles crowning the glass.
Smell - The had a bready nose that befits a lager. Hints of smoke were present.
Taste - At the front, the lager yeast merged with light smoke. There was a definite bready quality to the profile. The beer had a dry finish which left me wanting more.
Mouthfeel - The bready qualities aligned with full body with a nice level of carbonation.
Overall - In terms of the style, this was really good

Wow. Umm, like...wow. First things first, I was confused on the pour like staring into a Dalai portrait while not being on acid. We have a blonde smoked beer here? Ok. Aroma is about as lifeless as Stalin is right now - I’m talking nothing going on. Taste though, wowie. This one is smoked like Candice Swanepoel smoking a Camel. I mean, it’s actually pretty clean and tasty. But do I want said hottie to be puffing on a grit?
There are many wonders in life, my children, and this beer is one of them.

Ooooh, a smoked lager from Moonlight. This pours a thin golden-tan. There’s a light smokey aroma, like the faint whispers of a campfire. Lightly bodied, with a toasty and tasty finish. Sublime.
