Notes:
Assertively complex and malty, with a bright ruby color and piney hop character.

16 oz. can. Amber body, ample white head. Smells of aggressive pine hops, toasted malts, light caramel. Tastes of strong pine hops, toasted bread, hints of caramel sweetness, but a strong pine bitterness dominates the back end. Medium body. Aggressively hopped. Did not expect something categorized as a Red Ale could be so good.

Raul is into Reds. He is. From Maureen O’Hara, to the 21st century with Jessica Chastain, your boy is down for a little fire down under. And when I got my hands on this Moonlight, I was thinking of some wild blazing inferno like the River Styx before your descent into… But here, in Twist Of Fate, I’m more or less just chilling on it. My fancy is not tickled, but I also wouldn’t send it back North for a rain check. To me, right now, it’s just there; looking very beautiful, but not lighting up my tastebuds.
Hit it and quit it, my minions.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours rich copper amber with a frothy khaki head that settles to a firm layer and laces beautifully.
S: Resinous pine and zesty citrus, toasty bready malt, earthy, slightly herbal, faint floral notes, and a touch of toffee sweetness.
T: Toasty slightly roasty bready malt, resinous pine, citrus, grapefruit, lemon, and a hint of orange, a bit earthy, slight herbal notes, and a little toffee sweetness.
M: A little on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: Definitely not your average red ale. Takes me back a few years to when hoppy reds and Red IPAs were more common. I dig it.
