Clear with a copper-colored body and a finger of lasting head. The nose has an old world hop character to it, spicy and earthy, with a substantial crystal malt backbone. The taste is very evenly balanced; bready, toasty and caramelized malt flavors matched by earthy and spicy hops. The finish is resiny, firmly bitter and dry. This is a unique pale ale, a fusion of European and American characteristics. Very good.
