Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours dark mahogany with a frothy tawny brown head that settles to a light layer and leaves a little nice lacing.
S: Nice and roasty, a little char, espresso, a bit piney, earthy, bittersweet chocolate, and burnt sugar.
T: Roasted malt, char, espresso and chocolate, earthy, piney, slightly herbal, faint hints of dark fruit, and rounded out with a little burnt sugar and toffee sweetness.
M: Medium body, moderate carbonation, slightly creamy.
O: Pretty darn solid porter. My only critique is that the bitterness can be a bit sharp. Soften that up just a touch and you've got a winner.
