With only 42 miles separating our breweries, we dreamed up a Dark Mild Ale. This beer features a mellow Golden Promise malt backbone steeped in Earl Grey Tea.

Why try? Sometimes Raul feels that you can swing for the fences and even hit a homer, but some hater fan might throw it back. Goodness is not always rewarded. A smile can at times be greeted by a blank stare. All said, this beer is nice and it makes Raul a bit happy.
Keep cool, my children.

This is an excellent, characterful dark mild. So far, we've only had it cask conditioned at Moonlight, so this review is limited to the cask version, but it's available in cans as well.
Dark reddish chestnut brown, almost but not quite black, t has a big creamy pale tan head steadily shrinking to a thin top, with some nice lace. Aroma is a wonderful woody, leafy-herbal, and toasty character. Taste and feel are nice and full bodied, especially for a mild. Earthy woody herbal character with gentle roastiness and gentle woody spicy bitterness.
Update: I have now had this in the can as well as cask conditioned at Moonlight. As I would expect, it is still very good form the can but much better cask conditioned, so I recommend getting it that way if they have it as their rotating cask ale.
The rating I have given it is for it cask conditioned. From the can, it would be as follows:
L: 4.5; S:4.25; T:4.25; F: 4.25; Overall: 4.25

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
