This German Style Pilsner was brewed as a celebration of 55 years of marriage for one of our favorite couples, Patsy & Heinz. It will also represent Moonlight at the Bitburger Challenge, in Portland, OR. Here's to the next 55!

Pours a crystal clear with a subdued crackery toasted biscuit note on the nose and a hint of tropical hops alongside a more traditional grassiness. This one might be a literal winner—it’s Moonlight’s entry into a recent lager/Pilsner competition.

L: Massive 3 finger head on a straw body. Great lacing.
S: Classic sour Pilsner malt. Dry flour, floral hops, and a hint of lemon.
T: Follows the nose. Bitter leaning Pilsner malt with a prominent lemon influence that adds some sweetness. The hops come out towards the finish, not super descript. A few biscuit notes as well.
F: Smooth, moderate carb, not very dry.
O: A nicely balanced, lemon heavy Pilsner; if it was a bit crisper and drier I think it’d be a heavy hitter.
