Fantastic job at Blue point. Golden color, moderate smell, but full taste of malt and hops on toungue. Consistency is more oil than water. This beer fits my taste = I love it. As I get it into mouth my first feel was sweet and turned into bitter. It is more than 15 minutes since I finished bottle and the taste is still in my mouth.
This is heavy beer not designed to have couple. I can compare it to Voodoo belgian ale or some Weyerbacher beers.

Its a pretty good Belgian...strong banana smoth...but it has a slight dank taste like a farmhouse thats a tad off putting...but if you like farmhouse ales and Belgians this could be right up your alley!! I also get the citrus with the cherry like aftertaste.

Served on tap at the Sunset Grill n Allston, MA. Described as a strong ale, which I think more accurately names the style.
The liquid is darker amber with a mild haze. Lasting head (impressive given it came from the cask). The lace while rich and blanket like, tends to slide down the glass.
Sweet like toffee. I detect some orange and other citrus sourness. I note some caramel as well.
The flavor features strong alcohol warmth, a chewy body and a bit of cherry sourness. The taste starts with a deep toasted malt flavor. There's enough hop to provide spice but the predominant flavors are a struggle between the full malt and the sour cherry. As a cask beer, it is naturally low in carbonation. The body is rich, almost buttery.

Look: Cloudy straw with a thin lacy head
Smell: Citrus, orange peel, a little pine
Taste: Sweet malt, molasses, orange, banana... a little tanginess, maybe a hint of honey, sour
Feel: Somehow feels both thick and crisp
Overall: Tasty beer, a little hoppier than other Belgians I've had. The high ABV is imperceptible.
