On-tap 7/31/2016 at Natty Greene’s Tavern in North Attleboro, MA, served in a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep golden brown color, with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is faint but contains caramelized malts, citrus and some hops.

T: The taste starts out sweet with caramel and citrus flavors. Then a mild hops bitterness for the style comes in. The malt character is hearty and brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly sweet.

M: Smooth and a little crisp, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while but there are better choices available in the style.

I had Jalapeno cask conditioned version at Celtic Cavern in Middletown. The beer had a nice hazy look to it and had a subtle aroma of jalapeno but not too overwhelming. Taste almost the same as the smell, a nice jalapeno flavor but no burn from the pepper. Not too big on cask beers but this wasn't to rough. Give it a try.

Pours a toasted grain color with a dense egg shell colored head. Nice retention and left a wall of lacing on the glass.

The aroma is of floral hops, perhaps a touch of grass and pine. Not an overly strong aroma.

The taste is of floral and grassy hops. Some lime and herbal notes as well. The malt brings some toasted bread and a slight note of butter.

The feel is moderate with prickly carbonation. The beer drinks dry and is slightly bitter. Drinks quite well.

A decent hoppy ale. The flavor doesn't scream wet hop to me but the hop flavors to come out. Not sure about the butter note I got.
