Blue Point Vienna Lager growler from the brewery Sept. 2016. Poured into a Saison Dupont glass from refrigerator.
Generic german style lager with Euro hop flavor and modest malt body. Tastes and looks like a modern-day Austrian "Maerzen", the every-day Austrian lager having drifted from the deep amber of a 1970's era Gosser to the lighter color of a Helles. So in some sense it is true to (contemporary) style.
This is a good beer but not much to differentiate it from Blue Point Helles or other modern german-style beers. It isn't a traditional Vienna style beer.
