Stout brewed with oyster shells aged in rum barrels with lime and coconut.
This special release is a nod to our coastal roots—featuring ocean-inspired ingredients like oysters, salt, lime, and coconut. These unique flavors are aged in rum barrels for an added molasses character. Toast the coast with this big, complex blend of bright tropical sweetness and bold oaky smoothness.

A: The beer is very close to being jet black in color—only traces of dark red are visible near the edge of the glass when it is held up to a bright light. It poured with a quarter finger high dark tan head that quickly died down, leaving small specks of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of limes are present in the nose along with hints of coconuts. Hints of rum also become noticeable as the beer warms up.
T: The taste has flavors of limes and dark malts, but once warmed up rum becomes the dominant flavor.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: For an 11.2% abv beer, this feels relatively “light” on the palate. A combination of this and well-hidden alcohol makes it very easy to drink.

Pours a near black color with a tight light brown head that settles into a moderate ring.
The aroma is subtle. I pick up some wood and light roast.
The taste is of a mild roast which is quickly overcome by the lime addition. Some toasted coconut. Big molasses notes from the rum barrel. The salt makes everything pop.
The feel is full bodied with prickly carbonation. Mainly sweet on the palate. Slight bitter finish. Also slightly tart from the lime. Sticky.
Kind of an odd beer. The lime is ok but seems out of place at times. Good barrel flavors. Seems to overpower any brine flavors from the oyster shells.
