Tropical Hoptical is a tropical fruit-centric take on Hoptical Illusion IPA. We loaded our signature IPA with mango, guava, and pineapple for a bright, sweet finish that balances the pine and citrus hop character.

A: A yellow orange amber in color with a large white head. Lots of chunky floaties in the brew.
S: Tropical fruit. Smells like pineapple, and mango juice. Smells more like fruit juice than beer.
T: Tastes like a tropical fruit shandy made with an IPA. Bitterness has a real rough edge to it, which fights the sweet juice feel. Feels a bit out of whack.
M: Medium light in bod with fairly high carbonation, with some lingering carbonic bite, and some bitterness.
O: This one is a miss for me. The bitterness is a little abrasive in comparison to the sweet fruit flavors.

The beer pours a transparent yellow with a white head, and fruit nose. The flavor is not really sweet fruit, but not sour as a grapefruit either. There's a bit of hop notes on the end of the taste, but I could've believed it was a sour.

This was not good. Stick to their Toasted lager. Blue Point has a lot of work to do, if they want to produce quality IPA's.

Nice aroma of citrus fruit and lemongrass. Flavors don't quite come out in the flavor, though it is a nice mellowed vibe. Not particularly harsh, this is a nice contrast to their Hoptical Illusion.

Not reminiscent of an IPA. Reminds me of a Spotted Cow cream ale as opposed to an IPA. Not that great.

Poured from a 12 oz can into a Sick'n'Twisted tulip
L: Hazed golden amber pour with 2 fingers of fluffy white head. Great lacing.
S: Tropical fruits and citrusy hops. Mildly floral.
T/F: Light malts and sweet tropical fruits. Modest bitterness... pineapple and guava mingled with grapefruit and tangerine rind. Mild peach/mango in there as well. Light bodied... some floral character. Slick on the tongue. The finish is bittersweet hops.
O: A solid tropical forward IPA. Very good flavor and drinkability.

Saw this can at Wegmans and decided to give it a chance on a hot summer day. Nice citrus smell but I wouldn’t call this a fruity beer. A very solid IPA. Kind of juicy and hoppy. Very easy to drink on a hot summer day. I liked it a lot
