Poured into a snifter/tulip/wine hybrid glass
A - very pretty translucent golden rose, half finger white head and quite sticky.
S - Pine, sweet pineapple, slight mango/guava, sweet cracker yeast, semi-sweet malt/grains, the hops are sweet citrus floral heavy and some slight in-between earth.
T - Very sweet, sweet baking yeast, dry, yet sweet malt/grain, lots of flowers, nice bright citrus, pine, pineapple and lots of island/tropical everything. Pretty simple.
M - Full body, like the balance, nice complexity, medium carbonation, medium acidity. Nice balanced DIPA.
D/ O - This is the BBQ DIPA for sure. Whether doused in sauce or the perfect rub, this DIPA is the perfect companion. Goes down smooth, just dry enough to go with anything sweet and just sweet enough to pair with everything savory. Really great stuff.
Final thoughts - No idea on the price as it was a gift. A very nice 8% ABV and I am officially a fan.

This one pours a dark orange-ish amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like raw earthy hops, pineapple, caramel malt, and pine.
This is surprisingly pretty nice, but it's definitely a little bit malty. It's dank and bitter, a little bit herbal and earthy, with a pineapple and grapefruit juicy finish.
This is surprisingly light bodied for the ABV, and pretty crisp, with a high level of drinkability.
Blue Point seems to be stepping up a little bit lately, and trying to stay relevant. That's always nice to see.

Triple dry hopped, featuring Loral, Vic Secret, and Cluster hops... Medium gold with a light golden-brown hue, faintly hazed but basically transparent under a coupla fingers of white head... Floral, citrusy, herbal, and fruity on the nose, maybe a little pine underneath it all... On the palate, mildly bitter, but not particularly sweet either - rather earthy and woody... Smooth, little of resinous shellac left behind, little bit of stick and chew... A decent beer, but nothing particularly noteworthy - worth a try, of course, but for my tastes, not one I'd return to...
