A growler of Blue Point Heavier Things poured at refrigerator temperature on Thanksgiving evening, 2019. Rumor has it that this brew has 7% alcohol. Body is almost black; sturdy head is tan, and leaves lacing as the beer is drunk. Aroma is of roasted malt. Flavor features roasted malt with a dose of bittering hops. Alcohol heat is in the backgrouund. Aftertaste is a slightly astringent echo of the roasted malt. This is my favorite brew from Blue Point at this time. I personally prefer traditional beer styles to the modern IPAs and flavored beers, and this satisfies me.

This beer is listed on the can as a double oatmeal milk stout. its new, from what info I can gather. very fresh six pack. It doesn't;t list if it contains lactose. I'm thinking it does and that usually spells bad news for my stomach. First time trying a milk stout. Jet black color, nose is molasses, licorice, bakers chocolate, and I'm getting a trace of dark fruit and some vanilla. taste follows the aroma, along with some burnt roasted malts. Very tasty. Very sweet. Mouthfeel is medium to heavy, and has a somewhat chalky feel. Personally, this is a one and done beer for me. I enjoyed, it. let's see how much my lactose intolerance can agree with this beer. If I'm cool widit... I'll get me some more.
