This rye märzen is a bit lighter in color than most of its type, and features a white head. The aroma is crisp malt. The taste is an interesting mix of the sharp rye notes with the clean märzen maltiness and clean finish.

2nd review. Oct 17 2020. If you wanted a sweeter marzen that is crossed with light hoppy american pale lager - this might fill bill.
As I was in mood for October, non pumpkin brews, glad I enjoyed it.
a) Pours like an APA, copper, think head with sticky, dotty lace.
s) Fall-toned malts, with orchard style hop whiff.
t) More malt, more sweet, cider, fall wet orchard and grass notes, more fallen fruit.
f) Cool, fresh, recent lager feel.
o) Fine collaboration for a different fall beer taste. Very autumnal which I think was their target.

Collaboration with spaten it seems, based off the boxes label. Marzen brewed with rye and wheat. Pours mainly golden, slightly orange, 2 finger head. Smell is american hops. Not a big fan of american hops. Taste is unexpectedly hoppy. Overpowering american hops. Not a very good marzen, wouldnt recommend
