A pint can lost its contents to a clear Imperial pint glass. It's dirty blond and it looks juicy. It smells kind of juicy, too. There's just a little white head at the top. The taste is much like what now seems to be the standard for the style. Hops are muted by an overabundance of starches and a lighter than ideal mouth feel. This is far from the biggest offender, but some of the same characteristics are shared with them. Yet, there is enough sweetness to the malt backbone and the hops are complex enough to make a rather juicy taste. It's disappointing to see Simcoe hops listed as an ingredient and taste them so compromised. There's almost no bitterness at the finish, although the hops move the final sensation from juicy to dry. Another compliment for hiding the ABV nicely. The now drained glass has no lacing.
