A select combination of malted wheat and barley lend this ale a light aroma with a hint of citrus, giving it a tart and refreshing palate. A light hopping makes this an excellent summer beer. Granery Wheat is bottled both as filtered (North American) and unfiltered (European) forms.

A bit strange for a fall release, it'd be a GREAT summer thirst quencher. Thankfully it's unpasteurized and has plenty of yeast!
A: Pours like a true Hefe. Fluffy white head erupts from a hazy-straw liquid. No head retention, but a little lace remains.
S: Earthy cloves.
T: Earthy cloves, with citrous tang in the aftertaste. I think it could use a little more malt... bring this up to 5% ABV and it'd have a more rounded flavour. They've got the yeast profile... it has the potential of being a very good beer.
M: Quite light, could use a little more carbonation. Unfortunately, it seems a little watery, could use a maltier backbone.
D: It's like water! (But with a little more malt, I would want to drink more).

Although the bottle says "unpasteurized, keep refridgerated", I've kept it in my cellar (around 55F). More than 5 months later (April 9, 2006), I pulled one out to find some gunk around the inside of the neck of the bottle. It hissed at me when I tried to remove the cap, and once I accomplished it, I was rewarded with steady gusher. I tried some of the foam, which tasted interesting. Then I sampled the liquid gold. It tasted like a Belgian Saison! It was actually really good... and I drank the whole bomber! (my wife really thought I'd be sick, but there were no ill effects).
So if Trafalgar ever wants to play with wild yeast... this malt bill might be a good start!
