The large bottle is too much. It's a bit hard to finish. Pours a dark, blackened red with very little head at all. As of now, their is no foam to speak of. At all. Smells a bit off. Sweet malts, some fruit, and something sour. Tastes bland. What taste is their is some malts and another, offensive taste that I can't quite describe. Sourly bitter? Mouthfeel is watery and oily. Not a drinkable beer. I don't know why I keep trying brews from this brewery.

A - Dark red. Head is fizzy and quickly dissipating.

S - Rich, malty smell. Extremely fruity aromas of cherry and plums.

T - Served a little too cold, IMO. Big malt flavours - sweet, but not overly so. Hops show up later on in the drink with a bit of bitterness and lingers on.

M - Carbonation is not as strong as the fizzing suggested. Slightly chewy and syrupy mouthfeel. Definitely a heavy beer for sure.

D - The bottle is too big. :P Yes, there are some interesting flavours in this beer, and yes, I can't say I'm not enjoying it, but a bomber of this stuff is too much for me, in a sitting. This is an occasional dessert beer for me.

650ml bomber poured a ruby highlighted cola shaded lager in the glass. The cap vanished almost immediately (a signature of this brewer) but a retained ring left modest lacing on the glass.

Nose is weak...light tones of molasses ,figs, cocoa, and wisps of grass....and the signature mustiness friom their atrocious proprietory yeast.

Mouth feel is light-oily with a good dose of malts to chew on. Very nice departure of the malt mixture in the front side...we get a malty blend of flavors reminisent of rich raisin bread or fig pudding then this finishes a tad more subdued as the roast astringency comes through with the hops and a light drying/bittering takes place in a mellow medium thin bodied finish....very smooth, not overly sweet...sufficiently multi dimensional...but rather thin for a Bock.

This is probably the best beer I have ever tasted from this brewer and it is one I like well enough to keep one or two around for drinking. A plesant surprise from this brewer and something of a redemption after all the weak watery dirty yeast tasting ales this brewer made.

A small gold bordered label has a large 'Bock' written vertically in gold. The brewery's logo and 'Bock lager' are also on it, in much smaller text.

The beer pours a dark brown with hints of cherry. The tan head dissipates too quickly and leaves minimal lace. Sweet aromas dominate the nose. Fruit, sugar and barley husk are noticeable, with a tiny bit of caramel and plastic. The taste is sweet and a little unbalanced. Sherberty malt sweetness is predominant. Theres also some barley and dark fruit. Hops are woefully absent, even compared to other Bocks. The finish is sweet and slightly cloying with warming alcohol. The mouthfeel is too watery. This is a pretty average bock, It lacks chewy thick malts and a big mouthfeel. Still its not undrinkable and probably the best Ive had from this brewery.
